WORD PLAY
Playing with words uplifts the sometimes too-serious work of being a writer to a fun, but obliquely productive level. Reducing the stress of having to write, while still engaging in language arts, can act like a pressure-release valve.
Word play can fairly be considered a writer's self-care activity anytime. Especially when a deadline is pressing, your writing bores even you, or you sense a block coming on, use word games as playful tools for lightening-up! |
