Speak Freak! What's this? It's an on-going, anytime, anywhere, language game that's suitable for 3 year olds to adults.

No materials are required, but there are lots of ways to expand the activity by incorporating other equipment.

Just make lists of things within a given category. Play with others. Keep score — don't bother. Challenge yourself. Have fun.

CHARADES

Prepare phrases ahead of time. Arrange according to themes: sexy; celebrity; books, movies …

Although it's fun, you don't need a store-bought version of Charades. Making it yourself can be even fun-ner!

WHAT TO DO — MAKE YOUR OWN CHARADES

• Cut a few standard size sheets of paper in half paper vertically
(2 x 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" /13.95 x 21.57)

• Cut the half sheets into strips (1/2 x 5 1/2" /1.25 x 13.95)

• Put the strips in a little box

• Keep a pen near by

• Jot ideas in a brainstorm session or on a flash of insight basis
