THE CHAIR
Mostly I prefer to sit at a little table. Does it sound a little neurotic to say that the size of the table affects my Morning Page practice? It's true or at least it feels true. Working at a small table somehow translates into my ability (to follow-through) as …
being big and strong. Working at a large table has caused me to unconsciously feel overwhelmed, small, not strong enough to do what needs doing.
Sometimes I don't bother with a table at all. I prop up pillows, curl up in my bed and get surrounded by my catpeople.
THE BOOK
I absolutely looooovvvvveee Moleskine Books for every kind of handwritten, journal keeping, idea jotting, doodling, painting…
They're available in lots of different formats – lined, quad, blank, reporter-style and an assortment of sizes.– all very yummy. I have lots of Moleskine Blank books on the go. And at least a few stashed away. …

JUICY, SLIPPERY PENS
Especially when I first start back at the process I must have a pen that writes slick. During the honeymoon weeks
my fingers and wrists become easily sore, tired and whiny. If there's any drag in the pen I get annoyed and could be forced (personal lie) to stop writing.
LOTS OF COLOURS
Well I have to admit to pen-a-holism. A person can never have too many pens, you know;) And for a writer, it's a requirement, a tool of my work, a business expense! Having said that, settling into any given day's morning pages is enormously more enjoyable
(read: the inner critic squirms less) with at least 3 deliciously smooth, delightfully coloured pens.
