Funny (peculiar, not funny ha-ha) how a rush of intense feeling can zap an otherwise ‘enlightened’ person instantly, to ground zero!


When a best friend, whom you've shared every up and down with for 20 years snarls at you “Who do you think you are? What I do with my life is None of your business!” the blow is violent and crushing.

On the other hand, there's the delicious exhilaration of being in love.

 

Trips, Traps and Triumphs is a gymnasium of dark nights of soul; patterns that repeat and exquisite joys found in the range of emotions that we're both blessed with and forged by.

 

AGAIN!?!? …YOU'RE KIDDING ME, RIGHT?

Paying attention to one's life can be a definite pain-in-the-but!

 

Sooner or later, you can no longer avoid noticing 'things'. That part is not soooo bad as the fact that 'noticing things' leads to having to acknowledge them. Then it gets really pesky.

 

Admitting eventually leads to being compelled to deal with the issue(s) that personal lies can't protect you from anymore. So it is with destructive patterns.

 

SELF-RESPONSIBILITY
VERSUS POOR ME

Seems everyone has at least a few issues that bring out their "poor me".

 

Everything from being broke to causing an 'accident', to being 'cheated on', to being struck, out-of-the-blue, with the flu …

 

Being a victim, though not comfortable, is more comfortable than being responsible — for everything that happens in one's life. Like reaching the level of wrestling to get beyond personal lies, no longer blaming anyone else is a huge spiritual step.
