Gazing up at the twinkle of the stars is usually used as a great couple's date. I like it for my artist self. Free.  Anytime of year.  Just dress for the weather. Any place, well any place that is not flooded with city lights.

Out to Lunch

Treat yourself to a gourmet lunch or dinner for one.  With your favourite foods in mind, or a desire to have your palate wooed, enjoy some time researching fine dining choices in your community.

Book the reservation. Dress, appropriately, up.  Budget for a taxi so you can also enjoy a glass of wine with your other delights.  

Road Trip!

Get a local, regional or long distance map.  Use it to plan a road trip!  

Once you've planned your route, embellish the experience with research about the sights along the way and in the towns and cities you'll go through.  Even if you don't have the time to actually take the trip, the planning is lots of fun!

Play in a costume shop.  Try on wigs, clothes and the signature paraphernalia of favourite cartoon characters, celebrities and interesting personnas.

Spend a couple hours, reading the cards, in a stationary outlet.  To get the most from the experience, be sure to sample a variety of categories and companies. And of'course you'll be sure to put them all neatly back in their slots:)

… books and stores are filled with stimulating ideas.  A person could spend hours paging through the books and fantasizing all about great decorating.  

Even if you don't have time, money or inclination for a new look for your space a trip to a paint and paper outlet is nourishing and fun.

Set the budget no higher than $5. Take yourself to a local 'dollar store' to buy something fun to play with.
