Description

A delightfully strange play mixture. Does Not make 'art' – frees the creative spirit.

Ingredients

  • 3 c corn starch
  • 1 1⁄2 T alum
  • 1⁄2 t food colouring
  • 1 1⁄4 c water, cool

Instructions

Supplies: 
small bucket or plastic dish pan
wet & dry measuring cups
measuring spoons
Method: 

Measure the corn starch and alum into the dish pan. Mix them together with your fingers. 

Measure the food colouring into the measuring cup. Add the cool water.
Slowly pour the coloured water into the corn starch.

Do not stir. Allow to rest for a few minutes.

Experience the mixture by pulling at it and pressing quickly into the pan well as easing your hands into it.

The mixture will air dry between play sessions. To reuse: add1/4 cup of water at a time to achieve desired consistency. Keeps 7-10 days at moderate temperatures; 2-3 days in high humity and above normal temperatures.
