FAQ - About This WebSite

A cookie is a piece of information from a website that is stored in your web browser's 'cookie' settings.

On beingu.com this information allows you to browse between 'secure' pages when you are 'logged in'. When you log in, a unique, random code is generated by beingu.com and sent to your web browser to be stored as a 'cookie'.

Whenever you go to a new page on this site the web browser sends that code back to our server so we know it is still Your browser that is accessing the page. If no cookie is sent to us with the page request, the server has to assume it is a non-logged-in user trying to access the page, and will generate an error message OR 'Access Denied' (unless the page is available to everyone).

This security is obviously important when visiting a page such as your order history or user account settings.

If you have previously created an account at beingu.com, but when you return you get 'Access Denied' messages, there are a few possible reasons for the problem that may have nothtng to do with the technical function of the site.

Please check for problems on your end

  1. Are you sure you tried the exact same User Name, with exactly the same spelling as when you originally created the account?  (By The Way, the beingu.com login system needs your real or constructed 'User Name'. Trying to login with your email address will cause an error message.)
  2. Oops! Is your Caps Lock turned on? Passwords are case-sensitive.  That means you need to use the exact same combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols that you used when you set up the password. Even a single difference – like a Upper Case 'M' as opposed to a lower case 'm' will cause an error message.
  3. Are the Cookies on your computer enabled? Login systems use 'cookies' to remember who you are.  Disabling your computer's Cookies will cause an error message.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".  If you have a web browser that supports RSS, you can look for the RSS icon (usually located in the address bar) when navigating through the categories of this site.

By clicking this icon, you can see a list of the most recent items in the category you are currently looking at.  By bookmarking the RSS 'Feed' you can easily see when new items are added to that category (usually the number of new items will show up next to the bookmark). By clicking the bookmark you will see the items in a simple textual view, with links to the full graphical pages on the site.
