Raised as the eldest child of 7 children on ranches and farms all over Montana, Oregon, Alaska until finally settling in British Columbia, George Wiseman, out of necessity, became an inventor.
He hated the 'up before dawn' lifestyle and scores 'off the charts' in mechanical ability. Experimenting to find ways to go further on the gas his dad rationed was a natural segue into a career as a fuel-saving guru.
His genius level talent (I admit to bias) is not just in his ability to get more MPG — sometimes double, triple, more … but in the integration of alternative technologies and scavenged parts — over many years. He builds, as a matter of course, one methodology and/or devise on the previous technology generation. And he does it with less than one percent of the budget of big car companies. What's even more incredible — for the most part, except for contributions from customers all over the world, he accomplishes the mechanical side of his work, almost single-handedly.
Now for the remainder of this advertisement:)
On top of that he's all about simplicity of design, longevity and robust work cycle.

Remarkable doesn't begin to begin to accurately portray George's gift. Nor does it illustrate the comedic value of living with a compulsive fixer.

George carries tools that can fix just about anything — on his belt! (This is new for a big-city-girl) And he goes practically into convulsions over squeaky doors, drawers that don't slide properly and loose anything.
It's embarrassing, (but charming) going into a restaurant and having him stop to fix the door or the table or — ask for their toolbox when larger items, like floors, need a tweak. He prides himself on these skills. Rightly so. Sometimes though, he thinks too much of them!
